• Faith-based groups call on local government to protect Central American Immigrant children
  • BAMN – STOP THE ATTACKS ON CHILDREN!

The Coalition of Defend Affirmative Action, Integration and Immigrant Rights and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), and faith-based groups are connecting with their local government to defeat the new racist alliance and to demand that America should live up to its professed ideals of freedom and equality for the many immigrants who have come to seek refuge from despotism and mortal danger.

The group wrote a resolution that was presented to the Lansing City Council for better protection and process for the Central American Immigrant Children. They rallied at the doorstep of the church demanding for better immigrants’ rights.

The contribution rendered by immigrants is indefinable, without which the country would not have progressed economically as most of the labor oriented work is contributed by these immigrants. On the contrary, they are not recognized for their services and tend to be treated disrespectfully. Fleeing to another country is a serious issue, the pain one goes through when they are forced out of their motherland is miserable and a lot of fear involved but, only hope of having a better life make their escape or cross the border worthwhile.
