Recently President Obama vowed recently to keep battling for unlawful immigrants in spite of measures by members of the Republican party and some federal officials to see to it that his executive orders stayed unaligned.
“I’m going to keep doing everything I can to make our immigration system more just and more fair,” Obama said in his weekly address a few days ago.
The President stated that he took action a few months ago to infuse the border with more resources for security and to open up the legal immigration framework by bringing unlawful immigrants “out of the shadows”. He said that some folks were still fighting against those actions, and he was one of the few who would keep fighting for them. He said that
“Some folks are still fighting against these actions,” he said. “I’m going to keep fighting for them.
Because the law is on our side. It’s the right thing to do. And it will make America stronger.” The House leaders of the Republican party were criticized by Obama for not allowing a vote on a Senate-passed immigration bill from 2013. “For nearly two years, Republican leaders in the House have refused to even allow a vote on it,” he said.
The members of the public were invited by the President to share their or their families’ stories of immigration on the White House website. Obama remembered how his family too belonged to a family of immigrants.
If an applicant is on a journey of immigration to the United States, and is in the process of acquiring the Green Card then one of the aspects covering the journey is the Immigration Medical. People who apply for their immigration benefits outside the country are also required to get a medical done, but there is a slight variance in the process.
Some exceptions to this examination requirement are made for those people who have already taken the exam previously, that is, before their entry into the United States; people or entrants on a fiancé visa (K-1), the results of their previous medical exam – this would be in the local files of the USCIS office.
The medical exam has to be conducted only by a doctor approved by a USCIS. A list of the doctors or Civil Surgeons is available on the U S Civil Surgeons Locator page on the USCIS website. Alternatively this information can also be acquired by logging onto the easyIME website, a one-stop shop for applicants looking to complete the Green Card process by taking the Immigration exam.
It is always advisable to complete the procedure for the Immigration Medical just close to the time when the applicant plans to hand over the adjustment of status document file. This is because the result of the examination stands valid only for 1 year.

What with presidential candidates from all sides trying hard to ascertain their positions on the thorny issue of immigration most of Americans state that they are in favor of a pathway to legal citizenship for unlawful immigrants. This was according to a poll that was published last week by a research center that conducted a survey.
According to the survey more than 70 per cent of the surveyed said that those immigrants who were staying in the country illegally should be allowed to stay there if they met requirements. This number also included around 40 per cent of Americans who stated that these immigrants should be allowed to turn citizens and there were 26 per cent who stated that they should only be allowed to become permanent residents.
Among the Republicans a majority of those surveyed – around 55 per cent – support a path to legal status for undocumented entrants. Most Republicans are not very supportive of their party’s stand on illegal immigration, with more than 55 per cent staying that the party was not doing a good job on how their views on illegal immigration were being represented.
Democrats on the other hand supported legal status with an overwhelming response, with more than 79 per cent stating that those immigrants who met requirements should be allowed to stay.
President Obama had stated in November, that he would give protection from deportation and employment permits to more than 4 million undocumented immigrants , which was opposed by Texas and 25 states and blocked in the federal courts.
Recently the Obama government was blocked by House Republicans who are against the administration spending any money over any lawsuits that helped to defend the President’s Immigration policies.
There was a 222-224 vote that arrived over an amendment by a hardcore Immigration advocate. Earlier this week Obama’s policies through executive action were being overturned – executive actions include the granting of work permits and the stays over deportation to millions of illegal immigrants. Although the efforts of the House were largely unsuccessful the Republicans claimed success as they stated that the policies were put on hold by a judge.
Many states in America have reasoned that the executive action of President Obama was by large unconstitutional. There is a Circuit Court in New Orleans that would hear arguments next month with regards to the lawsuit. The administration would be blocked by the amendment from spending any money.
The House also put out a vote – 227 to 109 towards an amendment in which certain federal funds would be blocked to locales that refused to give names to immigration authorities. Localities also declined from participating in a federal program that turned over the names of people that were picked up for crimes.
