  • Loopholes widened for ISIS to enter the US
  • Some leading immigration officials say that President Obama’s government has widened the loopholes in its administration, making it easier now for Islamic fighters to enter the United States.

They say that not only could the jihadists easily slip into the country’s porous southern border but the fighters could also manipulate the “loose” policies to gain entry into the United States.

    WHY SO?

Officials state 2 main reasons: One, a severe lack of resources for Immigration agents for enforcement and tracking and two, the government’s decision to increase the number of immigrants allowed in for asylum purposes.

  • With illegal border crossing by Immigrants, undocumented children face uncertain future in courts
  • With thousands of unaccompanied minors illegally crossing the US borders from Central America, of nearly 57K unaccompanied minors who have made to US border, nearly 4,244 of minors have made to New York who has made their home in New York.

The Metropolitan New York cases are being handled by the federal Immigration Court in New York City, which is struggling to allocate resources, including pro bono lawyers.

It is not uncommon for Central American parents to leave their children behind at a young age with other family to come work in the US. The adults usually make their way to a place where they already have relatives and what money they make is sent back home to provide for their children and aging parents. After few years, the parents through their relatives or friends who visit Central America request them to arrange to get their kids through Coyotes who bring them to re-unite with their mother. It is not sure how many get lucky to meet up with their children.

According to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 54,677 minors nationwide have been released to sponsors or family members — who make themselves responsible for the children — since the beginning of this year. Children crossing the border alone, under law, must receive a court date within 21 days of identification by authorities.

Immigration attorneys say that because the minors crossing the border are often escaping gang violence and crime, the majority of them are eligible for aid and may be able to stay.

  • ARC report claims nearly 5,200 children of deported immigrants parents are living in Foster care ARC report claims nearly 5,200 children of deported immigrants parents are living in Foster care
  • 2011 US deported 397,000 people and detained nearly that many, 2014 we can see nearly 11 million undocumented people in the US.

According to federal data released to ARC through a Freedom of Information Act request, a growing number and proportion of deportees are parents. In the first six months of 2011, the federal government removed more than 46,000 mothers and fathers of U.S.-citizen children. These causes the children to be left behind feeling lost from their parents.

According to report of ARC nearly 7,100 children are currently living in foster care whose parents have been either detained or deported.

Immigrant victims of domestic violence and other forms of gender-based violence are at particular risk of losing their children. As a result of ICE’s increased use of local police and jails to enforce immigration laws, when victims of violence are arrested, ICE too often detains them and their children enter foster care. Many immigrant victims face an impossible choice: remain with an abuser or risk detention and the loss of their children.
