With the recent surge of unaccompanied Central American children crossing the border illegally, more than 57,000 children have fled their home country of Mexico to overcome gang violence and extreme poverty since last October.
Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, has acted upon by taking a lead to secure the border as, in his opinion the federal government has failed to take any measures to secure the border.
The Governor, in accordance with his stature has activated 1,000 National Guards along the Mexico border of Texas. This comes as an extraordinary measure, in order to protect the US from illegal immigrants, criminals, human traffickers and drug cartels.
Rick Perry also said that although the Texas National Guard deployment will cost the Texas state nearly $12m per month, National security is most important and to have a secured border is of need of the hour.
If all the parliamentarians work towards achieving realistic goals to stop illegal immigration, then they would not have problems to process legal migrants in to the country.
