With nearly 50.7 million Hispanics in the US, nearly two-thirds (65%) that is around 33 million, identify themselves as Mexican origin, according to the Pew Hispanic Center survey conducted by the 2010 American Community Survey (ACS). People of Mexican-origin are the biggest subgroups among the Hispanics community.
With the recent poll conducted by AP-Gfk, Hispanics are not happy with the way President Obama is tackling the Immigration issues. The poll showed just 29 percent Hispanics have acknowledged the way Obama has handled the matters, while the rest feel immigration is important and much needs to be done, despite their discontent with immigration reform, Hispanics still prefer to support Democrats (40 percent) than Republicans (15 percent).
